Part One: Initial Consultation
This family wasn’t happy with their kitchen anymore.
The outdated look and constant little issues wore on them.
They wanted to update the space, without spending a fortune on a full remodel.
We offered them our quick kitchen refresh package when they called us for a quote:
Premium new tops, backsplash, sink, and faucet for only $15,000.
They loved the idea, and we moved forward with the upgrade.
On our initial consultation, we looked at what needed to change…
Old tile backsplash
This granite-like backsplash was old. The porous surface made cleaning it very difficult, and it got stained.
Old sink & faucet
The black undermount sink was not our clients’ favorite. The faucet was stained, damaged, and leaking.
Dated countertop
This old granite top screamed ‘I’m from the 80s’. Our clients wanted a more modern, sleek vibe for their new tops.
Part Two: The Planning
The main idea of our kitchen refresh is to decrease costs and turnaround time. Designs aren’t included in the process, but if you want that too, we can do it. These are less intrusive jobs, so we don’t need to pull permits, and you get your new kitchen even faster.
Part Three: Ready For Installation
Kitchen refreshes come with an awesome price tag and very fast installation time.
Our timeline for a kitchen refresh is 5 days, unless we encounter challenges along the way (such as rot damage or cabinet adjustments).
After the tile, faucet, and top materials are all picked and delivered, the installation starts.
Prep work
We prepped the kitchen with cardboard on the floor so everything was neatly protected. We demoed the old backsplash and countertop in around 6 hours.
Day 1
We had to adjust the cabinets for the new tops, and we installed them in a single day.
Days 2-5
Installing the tile backsplash took us around 3 days, and then another day to install the faucet and the new dishwasher.

New backsplash, Top, Sink & Faucet

Deckorators Composite - Venture Series Sandbar
We installed 120 sq. ft. of composite decking, perfect for our clients to enjoy a low-maintenance deck. It’s durable, resistant to water or UV damage, and you can walk on barefoot because it stays cold and splinter-free.
Westbury Aluminum Railing
We installed all straight and stair aluminum railing up to the highest standards in the industry. There were 40 linear feet of straight railing and 4 linear feet of stairs railing, all in Westbury C-10 metal railing with lifetime warranty.
KDHT Lumber Framing
We had to use 192 sq. ft. of framing material. For both ledger board and framing, we used 2’x10′ lumber 12″ on-center. This is the most cost-efficient framing material, and our go-to for all deck building projects.
